General elections determine who will serve our communities at the local, state, and federal levels. From county offices and the Iowa legislature to Congress and statewide leadership, these races affect everyday life in Dubuque County.

Make a plan to vote — and help friends, family, and neighbors do the same.

Annual: Spring

Each spring, neighbors from across Dubuque County come together for one of our favorite traditions: the Hall of Fame Celebration.

Part fundraiser, part community gathering, the evening honors local leaders and volunteers whose work has strengthened our community and helped move Dubuque forward. It’s also a chance to reconnect with neighbors, hear from inspiring speakers, and build momentum for the work ahead.

Our 2026 Hall of Fame Celebration was one of our most successful in years — a sold-out evening filled with energy, optimism, and grassroots support for local Democratic organizing.

This year’s event featured inspiring remarks from honorees, community leaders, and former Senator Tom Harkin.

Whether you’ve attended for years or are thinking about joining us for the first time, we’d love to see you at a future Hall of Fame Celebration.

Annual: June

The DBQ Pride Festival is a celebration of love, visibility, and community here in Dubuque. Organized by DBQ Pride, the festival brings together local organizations, performers, artists, families, and neighbors for a day centered on inclusion, connection, and queer joy.

The Dubuque County Democrats are proud to participate alongside so many community partners working to make our county more welcoming and inclusive for everyone. Stop by our table to grab a sticker, learn more about local Democratic organizing, register to vote, or just say hello.

Whether you’re attending for the first time or have been part of Pride celebrations for years, we’d love to connect with you there.
